A Different Grip on Life..

 Ten weeks. That’s what it took to lace up my shoes with intention again. After resuming a rhythm that resembled “normal life,” I started preparing for the half marathon I had signed up and committed to last year. I trained for 10 weeks - rebuilding stamina, leaning into discipline, and reconnecting with the version of myself that once thrived on structured progress. Race day came and I crossed the finish line in 2 hours and 9 minutes . But this wasn’t just about timing. It was about proving something deeper - that you cannot damper the spirit of a soul that wants to rise, even after life throws you into a life-changing event. Learning to run became more than physical training. It was restoration. It was reclaiming rhythm. It was choosing to move forward.
